Crystal Silverthorne lives in Dunnville, Ontario, and serves on the Board of Community Living Haldimand. Over the years, Crystal has taken on many roles within the organization, including serving on the Rights Committee, participating in the Self-Advocate group, supporting staff training, and leading sessions to help people learn about their rights and how to use technology.
In addition to her advocacy work, Crystal is self-employed as the owner of Crystal’s Creations, a handmade jewelry business. She is also a motivational speaker and brings strong skills in fundraising to all of her work.
Crystal values collaboration and believes in the power of teamwork. She uses her voice to speak up for herself and others, promoting understanding and inclusion in her community.
She believes that by working together and raising awareness, we can help create communities that welcome and value everyone. Her guiding philosophy is: “Be the change that you want to see in the world.”
