Mike Brunetto is an Operational Risk Management professional with over 30 years’ experience in the Banking and Insurance sectors. A committed advocate for true inclusion and influencing a meaningful transition to adulthood for families and those with exceptional differing abilities. Mike is deeply committed to dismantling societal barriers and advancing full inclusion, accessibility, and belonging for all individuals in every aspect of daily life.
Mike’s civic engagements includes serving as a committee member for the Accessible Advisory Committee for the Town of Caledon, and IDEA Caledon, a collective network of local organizations, town officials, and community groups dedicated to nurturing an Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, and Accessible environment throughout Caledon, Ontario.
Mike is currently parent chair of St Michaels’s Secondary School Council, a standing member of the Special Education Advisory Committee for the Dufferin Catholic District School Board, representing his family of schools as a member of the Central Committee for Catholic School Council. Mike’s long-standing contributions to the education and caregiver communities, extends to his passionate leadership, driving a local family support network (CCN) focused on the transition to adulthood, creating family engagements.
Mike and his wife have 2 young adult boys, where the oldest is actively pursuing study and a career in the medical healthcare sector while his younger son has multiple exceptionalities preparing to transition from secondary school to adulthood in the community.
