Council Team Building – Second Session (November 20–21, 2025)

In November 2025, six Council members came together for the second Council Team Building session. The workshop took place at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North and was co-facilitated by Jennie Chanda and Payal Khazanchi. The session provided Council members with a valuable opportunity to connect, reflect, and strengthen how they work together as a team.
Throughout the workshop, Council members explored important topics that support effective teamwork. Discussions focused on the 4 Cs of Team Identity and the 4 Elements of a Working Team. These sessions encouraged participants to think about what makes a strong, collaborative, and supportive Council.
The workshop also included interactive group activities designed to build communication and problem-solving skills. During the “Desert Island” activity, participants worked together to make decisions and prioritize needs in a creative scenario. In the “Case Study / Advocacy Scenario,” participants applied their advocacy skills to a realistic situation, sharing ideas and strategies while learning from one another’s perspectives.
Council members shared very positive feedback about their experience. Many highlighted how much they enjoyed the small-group activities, noting that these exercises helped them build stronger connections and better understand each other’s working styles.
This workshop builds on the first Council Team Building session hosted by CLO in November of 2024.
