Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Student Links is an opportunity for students (ages 14 to 21) who have an intellectual disability to explore ideas for their future after high school. It matches students and mentors who share a common passion or interest. The goal is to enhance their capacity to make informed decisions about their future prior to leaving school and to support the natural development of relationships and connections to their community.

For Mentors

Student Links connects mentors like you with a student who has an intellectual disability who shares a common passion or interest. Whether you're interested in horticulture, fine arts, fashion design, automotive mechanics, coding, or something else entirely, this is your chance to create a meaningful connection and help guide a young person in your community through an important time in their life.

Words from Our Mentors

Meeting Jay was really exciting because he reminded me of myself when I was in high school. He loves technology, he’s super eager to learn and he’s willing to try new things. So when we first met, we decided it would be a good idea to learn how to create a simple website. I’d walk him through it and he could keep exploring other possibilities on his own.
