Well-Being and Quality of Life

People with intellectual disabilities are at high risk of a range of negative life events and outcomes, including poverty, abuse and neglect, poor health, and homelessness. Community Living Ontario advocates on various fronts to increase access to the supports and services that people need to achieve health and quality of life.

A Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a long-term savings plan designed to help people who are approved for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) build financial security for the future.

While the program is well-intentioned, many people with disabilities and their families continue to face barriers when trying to access or benefit from it. These challenges can create exclusion and make it harder for people to get the financial support they need.
