DISRUPT! was a series educational workshops as part of an education grant. The purpose of DISRUPT! was to provide youth, educators, allies, and self-advocates with social justice education. These workshops allowed participants to come together to share ideas and learn ways to create a more inclusive Canada.

The workshops were designed by Re:Action4Inclusion's Youth Advisory Committee. Through this series, the youth advisors raised awareness about issues that matter to them. The committee decided on 5 workshops topics that they felt were important for youth today: Mental Health, Inclusive Education, Truths of Institutionalization, Indigenous Arts and Culture, and Environmental barriers for Employment.

Sharing about DISRUPT

In November 2023, two YAC members, Yashvit and Aakriti, along with staff from Community Living Ontario, Community Living Windsor, and Community Living Essex County presented about DISRUPT! at the Annual Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN) Conference. They shared the details and successes of the social justice education series, providing the audience with best practices for working with young people to develop youth-led initiatives.
