Ontario’s Inclusion Campaign

Does Your Community Include Everyone?

See the person. Include the person.

People with intellectual disabilities are advocates, artists, employees, neighbours, siblings, friends, leaders, public speakers, and community builders.

QUICK LEARNING

What is an intellectual disability?

An intellectual disability is a disability that affects how a person learns, reasons, solves problems, and uses everyday social and practical skills.

Every person is different. Some people may need support with certain parts of life. Some people may need very little support.

An intellectual disability is one part of a person. It is not the whole story.
