Laura is a Clinician and healthcare leader with over 20 years experience in the field of patient, client and family engagement and caregiver/family support services. She is currently the Senior Director of Patient Experience and Engagement for the University Heath Network. Past work experiences include Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Health Quality Ontario.
Laura is also an advocacy partner to her 16-year-old son. Bryson has a rare genetic condition called GRIN1 which causes both physical and intellectual disabilities. This experience prompted Laura to pursue a Doctorate in Rehabilitation & Health Leadership at Queen’s University with a focus on supported and inclusive living for young people and adults with intellectual disabilities.
