Lynette is currently the Chair at Community Living St. Marys and Area. She joined the board following a career training and supporting persons with visual and cognitive disabilities in the use of technology.
Having been active in her community for many years including the local Farmers’ Market and the town Green Committee, Lynette also spent twelve years as an elected school board trustee. As a trustee on a board that emphasized inclusion, and sitting on the board’s Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), the invitation to sit on the local Community Living board was a natural and exciting transition.
When the request for applications to the board of Community Living Ontario was circulated in 2024, Lynette jumped at the opportunity, understanding the value of broader provincial advocacy through her participation in the Ontario Public School Boards Association.
