Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon: Charity Challenge

Let’s All Get #InThisTogether to Raise Funds for the Anne Stafford Bursary Fund

For the past 4 years, Community Living Ontario (CLO) has established a team in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Charity Challenge and raised money for various initiatives, along with other member organizations. This year, given that it has transitioned to a virtual race and that there are many distance options for walkers/runners, we would be delighted to see as many of the CLO Staff, Board Members and Member Associations join in and help us all raise funds for the Anne Stafford “Light Up The Future” Bursary Fund. All participants will have the full month of October to complete their race as opposed to previous years, where it was an early morning start in downtown Toronto.

Every year, we look for different ways to increase the Anne Stafford Bursary Fund to ensure more and more people who have an intellectual disability have the chance to pursue professional development or personal interest opportunities within their communities. Every dollar raised this year will go towards this fund. This year, we were able to award more than double the amount of bursaries from previous years and we would like to be able to continue to grow annually.
