Professional Wrestler Cody Deaner Dares Community Living Oshawa/Clarington to Dream Big!
On Monday, November 18th, professional wrestler Cody Deaner stopped by the Access Centre at Community Living Oshawa/Clarington to share his story and dare people to Dream BIG! Cody was born and raised in an extremely small rural Ontario town, which has a population of less than 200 people. Despite growing up in a small town, he dared to dream big. Since the age of 5, Cody Deaner had a dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
Cody has experienced many ups and downs while following his dream. Through determination, hard work, and perseverance, Cody has gone on to wrestle all across North America and win numerous wrestling championships. Cody has wrestled for the two largest wrestling companies on the continent – Impact Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Cody believes in the power of positivity and that we all have the power to be a positive influence. He has taken that belief and started an initiative called “Giv’er for Charity”, a fundraising campaign that has raised thousands of dollars for a variety of local charities across Canada.
Cody is raising money from October 2019 to December 2019 for Community Living Oshawa/Clarington’s My Life. My Community. My Way. campaign, donating proceeds from the merchandise he sells at wrestling shows and running a fundraiser on Facebook, all while keeping up the busy schedule of touring as a professional wrestler and public speaker. More information about Cody Deaner can be found on his website.
