Jack Gillan

Jack is currently a staff member of the New Canadians Centre in Peterborough coordinating the settlement of Syrian and other refugees. In addition to his Board work with Community Living Ontario, he is a Board member for Shared Dream for Independent Living, a family-led Micro Board.

Jack was a dedicated employee of 33 years delivering progressive management and leadership for Community Living Peterborough. He was the Chief Executive Officer from 2006-2016. He was responsible for leading the delivery of quality services for people who live with an intellectual disability and their families. He was also accountable for strategic and operational leadership in: Client Quality of Life Outcomes; Employer of Choice Outcomes; Financial Stewardship Outcomes. and Community Development Outcomes.

Jack also spent many years at Community Living Toronto as a Human Resource Administrator and Program Manager.

In his spare time, Jack is a Board member of the Peterborough Housing Corporation; a Mediator for the John Howard Society; a past member of the Rotary Club of Peterborough and a retired foster parent for the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society from 2007-2012.

Jack’s personal interests include sailing, camping and travelling.
