2017 Anne Stafford Bursary Recipients
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, in 2017, seven young people received the Anne Stafford Light Up the Future bursary:
Jason Moore is studying culinary arts with the goal of becoming a cook. He is nervous to begin this journey, but excited to gain a better understanding and skills for the job.
Cindy Kwasnycia is enrolled in a culinary skills class at St. Clair College in Windsor to learn proper cooking techniques.
Kyle Girardin is completing a landscaping course at St. Clair. He enjoys applying what he has learned and working with others as a team.
Margaretha Frisen is studying basic training to become a security guard, also at St. Clair College.
Kyle Marleau took a professional chainsaw operation course through Workplace Safety North. He really enjoyed this course, as he learned how to properly cut down trees. He can now help his dad cut wood safely.
Kate Gregg is enrolled in Community Integration through Cooperative Education at Fleming College with the goal of gaining the skills to one day become a chef.
Barb Peyton is working towards obtaining her high school diploma.
Jennifer Nielson is exploring courses through the Community Integration through Cooperative Education at Niagara College that will help with working in a greenhouse.
