Linda White, Manager of Family and Youth Projects for Community Living Ontario, was a special guest. She provided an overview of Re:Action4Inclusion’s work and the impact of the initiative on youth and their communities over the last nine years.
The Anne Stafford Light Up the Future Bursary recipients for 2017 were recognized. The recipients were: Barb Peyton, Keely Courtney, Kyle Morleau, Kate Gregg, Margaretha Friesen, Jason Moore, Kyle Girardin, Terri Morand, Cindy Cwasrycia and Jennifer Nielsen.
The 2017 Community Living Ontario Awards were also handed out:

There were eight nominations received for Community Living Ontario’s Board of Directors for 2017/2018. The membership elected or re-elected six Directors-at-Large. They are:
Jack Gillan, Peterborough Peter Marrese, Toronto Earl McIvor, Thunder Bay Sara Singh, Brampton Jill Teeple, London Melissa Sagat, North Bay
Yvonne Spicer from Milton was appointed as the representative for the Council of Community Living Ontario, replacing Claude Sauvé.
Patricia Morris, Executive Director of Community Living Access Support Services, was reappointed as the representative for the Provincial Executive Directors’ Group for another term.
Outgoing directors Claude Sauvé, Theresa Somerton, Dan Wagner, Theresa Somerton, Salwa Khouzam, and Roy O’Leary were recognized for their contributions to the Board of Directors and Community Living Ontario.
It was also confirmed that Community Living Ontario’s 65th Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 at the Sheraton Parkway in Richmond Hill.
On Friday, September 15th, 2017, the new Board of Directors held their first meeting and elected their executive for 2017/18:
